Komaki City Library 小牧市立図書館

December 23, 2010

The small Komaki City Library has a rather large English-language section featuring (recent) bestsellers (fiction and nonfiction, including cookbooks) as well as books about Japanese culture and language in English (you'll also find Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese and Korean books). Of particular interest to EFL teachers are the numerous (I'm guessing in the hundreds) graded Penguin readers of all genres; I may end up using some of these with my students.

In the Christmas spirit, on my first visit I nabbed Paula Deen's Christmas and Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove Christmas, two cookbooks, and a couple of Japanese-langauge textbooks.

And their library card is criminally cute.
